Tottenham hotspur is looking to bring a new striker to White Hart Lanes. Coach Harry Redknapp had confirmed his interest in Lyon’s Brazilian striker, Fred.

Lyon had indicated that they will release Fred, but it is reported that Fred failed to meet Redknapp.

Harry Redknapp has confirmed Tottenham’s interest in Fred but the plans is now questionable as the striker failed to turn up for a meeting with Redknapp.

“He was supposed to come today but didn’t turn up so I wouldn’t bet on him coming tomorrow,” said Redknapp.

“I don’t know what happened, the plan was for me to meet him and have a chat with him.

“He’s out of contract in the summer so I think they are asking for a small fee.”
