Holland Squad Announced by Van Marwijk

Holland - Bert Van MarwijkHolland boss Bert van Marwijk has named his squad for the World Cup Qualifiers against Scotland (March 28) and Macedonia (April 1).

Talented defensive duo Gregory van der Wiel and Edson Braafheid are both part of Van Marwijk’s selection again. The two made their Holland debut about a month ago in the international friendly against Tunisia.

The former Feyenoord boss has surprisingly opted to leave Schalke’04 midfielder Orlando Engelaar and Celtic striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink out of his squad.

Despite having lost his spot between the sticks at Ajax, Maarten Stekelenburg also received an invitation for the two matches. Feyenoord goalie Henk Timmer and Utrecht shot stopper Michel Vorm serve as his deputies.
