Real Madrid are not alone in registering their interest for Maicon as several clubs have made it clear that they would like to sign the Inter defender in the summer, according to his agent.

Maicon is attracting interest again this term and Florentino Perez has been reported to have the Brazilian’s name on the list of new signings should he become president of the Spanish giants once again.

Antonio Caliendo has spoken out again about the Brazilian’s position. He recently explained that he could have left last year if the Serie A club had not turned down a huge offer.

Whether to increase pressure on Inter or to make other clubs aware that now would be the time to step up their ideas if they want Macon, Caliendo has made Madrid’s desire public.

“Yes, there is interest from Real Madrid,” he told Telelombardia. “But it is not only los Blancos – Maicon is the number one in his position.”

Caliendo has claimed that making statements regarding interest from other clubs has nothing to do with the desire for an improved contract with the Nerazzurri.
