Fabio Cannavaro, who is contractually tied to Real Madrid until this summer, has had his future called into question with regards as to where the Italian legend will end up next season.

The 35-year-old’s main focus is wrapping up this season with Real Madrid, if any other teams are interested in him, all they have to do is contact his agent.

“I have a contract with Real Madrid until June,” Cannavaro told The Sun.

“Whoever wants me can call my agent. The future is not my principal problem and if I were to stop I would still have had a wonderful career.”

Reports over the weekend suggest that Tottenham Hotspurs are interested in having the former Juventus star take over at the heart of their defence.

Spurs would be looking to Cannavaro to add experience to the club’s defence, but with regards to his age, Spurs would have to strike while the iron is hot, seeing as the Italian will probably be looking to retire in a few years time.
