Marotta: Cassano and Pazzini Not For Sale!
Sampdoria director Giuseppe Marotta insists Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini are not for sale.
Reports around the peninsula have claimed that the Blucerchiati duo were heading for pastures new at the end of the season. Cassano has been linked with a move to Juventus, but Marotta was keen to underline that his club have no intention of selling their most valuable assets.
“Cassano and Pazzini are two jewels who we want to keep hold of,” Marotta told Napoli magazine.
“Our intention is not to deprive ourselves of Cassano and Pazzini. I think the players want the same too.”
Although the chief seems resistant to the sale of both men, he does admit that a big money move could persuade him to sell.
“However, if things were to change then we would have to evaluate the situation.”
Pazzini has been finding the net for Sampdoria with incredible speed and accuracy since his move to the club in January.
“Pazzini has had the possibilities of playing regularly, and this is fundamental for him to understand his full potential,” added the chief.
“He has the confidence in goal, and we are delighted with him.”
