Carlo Ancelotti Will Not Join Chelsea

AC Milan - Carlo AncelottiDespite reports suggesting otherwise, Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has distanced himself from the Chelsea bench.

Voices in England have claimed that he is preparing for an adventure with the Blues when current manager Guus Hiddink’s contract expires at the end of the season.

Ancelotti’s deal with the Rossoneri expires in 2010, but the club have not moved to offer him a new contract as yet. The former Juventus coach has admitted that he would like a move abroad in future, but distanced himself from signing with the Blues this summer.

“I will not go to Chelsea, although I will not stay at Milan forever,” Ancelotti told Il Corriere Dello Sport.

“I think that sooner or later this story will finish. Chelsea are a great team and I couldn’t say that I wouldn’t like [to manage them].”

Reports from England suggest Roman Abramovich is prepared to flash his cash in an attempt to persuade the Italian coach, but this seems unlikely to have an impact following Ancelotti’s latest comments.
