Ronaldo’s Heroic Corinthians Return To Be Made A Movie
Luis Rosemberg, the director of Corinthians, affirmed that the club are so thrilled about the way Ronaldo has performed for them in the Paulista State Championship that they are contemplating immortalising his goal-getting exploits on the silver screen.
“We are thinking about making a film about the return of Ronaldo. What Corinthians have done in 2009 is like something from Hollywood,” said Rosemberg.
Ronaldo, who has scored eight goals in ten matches, starred for Corinthians in the first leg of the final of the Paulista State Championship against Santos on Sunday. ‘The Phenomenon’ scored two spectacular goals in the 3-1 win at the Vila Belmiro stadium.
Rosemberg stated that “the sponsors are delighted and the telephone doesn’t stop ringing” thanks to the incredible form of the three-time FIFA World Footballer of the Year.
He added, “His return is something to celebrate for the whole of Brazil, even for the Santistas, who after the match, applauded him. It was a magical moment for Brazilian society as a whole.”
When he returned to the field in March, Ronaldo hadn’t played an official match since the February 13, 2008, when he suffered a serious knee injury against Livorno when playing for AC Milan.
The director regards Ronaldo’s successful return to action as “one of the greatest examples of courage” in Brazil, a country that has struggled to cope with violence and poverty over the years.
