Pavel Nedved Reported to Have Extended Juventus Contract

Juventus Football News - Pavel NedvedIt has been reported that Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved will continue running on the playing fields for another season following a meeting with his club, who managed to convince him not to retire and instead accept a one-year deal extension, according to juventusnews.tk.

Nedved is expected to receive around €1.7 million, including bonuses tied to the number of appearances he will make next term.

The 36-year-old had announced that he would retire at the end of this campaign and in fact, following the elimination from the Champions League, he had stated that one of his biggest regrets was that he never won the trophy with the big ears. However, now he will have another shot at glory as he will have the opportunity to fight another season in Europe’s most prestigious competition and maybe finally make his dream come true.

Nedved has been at Juventus since 2001 following his move from Lazio, and has made 246 league appearances for the club, scoring 51 goals in the process.
