Julio Cruz is all but certain to leave Inter at some stage this summer, after seeing his playing time under Jose Mourinho dramatically decrease throughout the course of the season just completed.

The veteran striker has been linked to a number of clubs around Europe, with one of those being Panathinaikos. The Greeks have reportedly been in talks with the agent of the player over the past week, and they look the frontrunners at this point to secure his services for next season.

According to a number of Greek media sources, Pana are extremely confident of getting their man, and it isn’t difficult to see why, after the player himself declared his attraction to the club in a recent interview.

“I really like the place, so with an offer on the table, we will have to consider it,” Cruz affirmed to TMW.

“Of course there is also the possibility of playing in the Champions League, which is very important to me.

“We will know more in the coming days, but I am fairly certain that I won’t be at Inter next season.”
