Simone Loria, the veteran, did not have a good season with Roma, constantly being labelled as one of the ‘flops’ of the year by the press. In the end, he only made 12 appearances in all competition, mostly due to injuries to other key players.

The Italian centre-back has moved to Torino on-loan and his future will be decided in June 2010.

He is expected to team up with Claudio Rivalta in central defense, with the pair already having success together in the past and will look for repeat performances in order to get Torino back into Serie A.

Loria has also had spells with Siena and Cagliari over the past few years and is expected to add some more experience to the backline.
