Julio Baptista Not Leaving Roma For Milan

AS Roma Football News - Julio Baptista 2Roma hitman Julio Baptista will not join Milan this summer, according to his agent, Herminio Menendez.

Reports in Italy have linked the former Arsenal and Real Madrid striker to the Rossoneri. Meanwhile, Milan have been searching for a striker, and Baptista’s name was being sounded by the Italian media as a possible alternative to Sevilla’s Luis Fabiano.

Menendez insists he has not heard about interest from Milan, and he claims his client will remain in Rome.

“Julio will continue his adventure with Roma for a very long time,” the agent told Romagiallorossa.com.

“I am unaware of other possible destinations. Julio wants to remain with Roma, and the club wants to keep him.

“I don’t know if he will be here for one, two or three years, but I am sure he will stay here for a long time.”

Baptista was hampered by injuries last season, but he proved to be pivotal in key matches, such as the first Rome derby, in which he grabbed the winning goal.
