Juventus Want Genoa’s Giandomenico Mesto
Juventus have laid their eyes on Genoa right wing-back Giandomenico Mesto and could lure him to Turin using players on a co-ownership deal with the Grifoni.
According to Tuttosport, Mesto’s name has been added to Ciro Ferrara’s list for a right-sided stopper who can also support when going forward. The Bianconeri have been focussing on the right-back position and a winter transfer move could be on the horizon.
The report suggests Old Lady director Alessio Secco is eager to open up negotiations with Genoa general director Fabrizio Preziosi over a possible deal. Secco will entice the Grifoni by offering Juve’s half ownership of both Domenico Criscito and Rafaele Palladino in return for the full rights of Mesto.
The Italian is regarded highly in Turin. He would fit into Ferrara’s 4-2-3-1 formation to provide cover and help when going forward, as well as defending. Mesto has good dribbling skills and his eye for goal would be welcome at Vinovo.
