Milan striker Alexandre Pato has failed to hit the back of the net since bagging a brace against Siena in the opening weekend of the Serie A season, but the 20-year-old insists he is not losing any sleep over the issue and feels the tide is about to turn, reports Sky Sport 24.

“I am working hard,” he said. “The goals came in our first match and then I haven’t been on target since. It’s partly down to bad luck.

“But I am keeping calm. I can’t say I have made any particular mistakes, but if I do it’s only because I am eager to do well. Goals will come soon for me.”

And Pato is also adamant that he will manage to persuade Brazil boss Carlos Dunga to include him in the 23-man squad for next summer’s World Cup.

“I want to get back into it, but I need to do well at Milan in order to do so,” he said.

“I am sure that Dunga will appreciate all the good things I’ll be able to do with my club, because he has given me enough chances in the past.

“I would love to play alongside Kaka and Ronaldinho in the national team.”
