La Repubblica reports that former Inter striker Ronaldo is on the verge of signing a new deal with Brazilian club Corinthians.

The player’s agent Fabiano Farah has confirmed talks between all parties are scheduled to take place soon. Ronaldo joined the club after being released by AC Milan following a career threatening injury. Since joining the Brazilian outfit he has fired in eight goals in the domestic league.

“There are no doubts for 2010. This is already a done deal,” Farah is quoted as saying in La Repubblica.

“We have a meeting to look at all the details and reach an agreement for 2011… Ronaldo is a happy player, and he is doing well at Corinthians.”

Farah’s comments come less than 24 hours after the player claimed he wanted to finish his career at the club. Corinthians are currently mid-table after 30 matches.
