Football News - The Sun reports that Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he is feeling far more pressure at Real Madrid than he ever had to endure at Manchester United as the Spanish club’s fans expect to win every game.

The Portuguese star is currently sidelined with an ankle injury, but he is stunned by the demands placed on a side that are still trying to gel after a summer spending spree.

Madrid won against Getafe on Saturday to record their first win in four competitive games, but the criticism is unrelenting as the team’s performances have yet to impress their supporters.

“The fans are totally different here to England. There is far more pressure than in Manchester and the Bernabeu crowd is particularly tough,” Roanldo said.

“Yes, it’s a bad moment but every team have these. No side in the world can be at the top all the time, it’s impossible, but maybe here they don’t accept that.

“Madrid have to win every game and the people just won’t accept defeat.

“But Madrid have so many new players and a new coach that it’s very difficult to blend together immediately.

“Now, of course, they expect me to be the saviour. But I can only play in my position, not as a goalkeeper or in defence.”
