Benni McCarthy To Leave Blackburn Rovers?
EPL Football News – According to KickOff.com, Benni McCarthy‘s decline from first-choice Blackburn Rovers striker in 2006 to fringe squad player has prompted the player to look for a new club when the January window opens, according to the 31-year-old’s agent, Rob Moore.
Moore confirmed: “Benni [McCarthy] wants to leave Blackburn Rovers.
“He has not been given the chance to show his worth this season in the Premier League and there’s no denying that it seems like he is not the type of player Sam Allardyce is looking for.”
According to a report published in the Daily Mail, Portsmouth manager Paul Hart is keen on McCarthy despite the uncertainty over the club’s ability to act in the forthcoming transfer windows.
During the summer, McCarthy was also linked with a return to Ajax, where he began his career in Europe.
