World Football News – According to Mediterraneonline.it, there could be some surprise call ups to the Italian squad. This was revealed by Italy coach Marcello Lippi who is also closely watching Palermo striker Fabrizio Miccoli.

There may be a few new faces added to the Azzuri during their double friendly coming up against the Netherlands next Saturday and then Sweden the following Wednesday.

“I look at all the Italian players. There are a few from Palermo who are doing really well, but I will not say any names,” Lippi said.

“I have been keeping an eye on all Italians, even those from Palermo who are doing well. However, I don’t want to discuss individual cases.
