Cesc Fabregas Only Wants to Focus on Arsenal
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas - who is currently away on international duty with Spain – has reiterated his desire to win trophies at Arsenal, after once again being linked with a summer switch to Barcelona.
Reports in Spain suggest that Sandro Rosell wants to use Fabregas as the figurehead of his bid to become the new president at Barcelona, with Joan Laporta set to step down at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Spanish newspaper AS also ran an article claiming that Real Madrid were ready to launch their own bid for the former Barca youngster at the end of the season.
The midfielder refused to be drawn on the speculation and insists that he doesn’t look too far into the future.
“Now I am very calm and without injuries, At Arsenal I am developing a good season and my dream is to win titles there. Still, I don’t think about my future. I’m focused on the short term and don’t look beyond that. I have a great responsibility to my club and now is not the time to think beyond that.” he told Spanish radio station Onda Cero.
