Real Madrid Eyeing Bordeaux’s Benoit Tremoulinas
Real Madrid are tracking Bordeaux full-back Benoit Tremoulinas, and are viewing to bring him to the Bernabeu in the summer. Los Blancos coach Manuel Pellegrini is looking to solve his defensive woes by bolstering his squad at the end of the season, and has been linked with a number of potential targets.
Fiorentina star Juan Manuel Vargas is one such name that has been linked with the Spanish giants, but the Italian side will expect an exorbitant fee for the marauding defender.
Tremoulinas is expected to cost significantly less, and Sporting Director Jorge Valdano has been monitoring the progress of the young French defender.
Madrid currently have Brazilian Marcelo in the left-back position, but he is expected to play a more advanced role in the side as doubts have been raised regarding his defensive capabilities.
Tremoulinas has been at Boredeuax since 2006 but only this season has became a regular player for the Ligue 1 champions, who were unbeaten in their Champions League section on the way to qualification for the Super 16 stage.
