Senegal Appoint Amara Traore As Coach
The Senegalese football association has appointed Amara Traore as the new head coach of the African nation’s national team.
Traore will take the place of Lamine Ndiaye, who got the sack in September 2008 after he failed to qualify the team for either the 2010 World Cup or the 2010 African Cup of Nations.
The FSF added that their immediate aims were qualification for the 2012 CAF African Cup of Nations and the Olympic Games in London.
Traore has been coaching first division side ASC Linguere de St-Louis since 2007 and helped them to the domestic title this season.
