Bayer Leverkusen‘s young playmaker Toni Kroos, currently on loan from Bayern Munich, is having an outstanding performances this campaign and his form didn’t go unnoticed in Munich and Kroos will return to FCB in the summer of 2010.

Franz Beckenbauer, former president of the Bavarians, was full of praise for the youngster following his superb first half of the season.

“Toni Kroos has been the man of the season so far. I’ve always had the feeling that he could be the next Michael Ballack and he’s certainly living up the expectations,” said Beckenbauer to Bild.

“I wouldn’t be really surprised if [Germany coach] Joachim Loew takes him to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.”
