Luca Toni To Join Roma In January?

Luca Toni Football Transfer News – According to TMW, Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni is set to join Serie A team AS Roma in January. The parties have only agreed on the situation in the last few hours, and the 32-year-old will return to Italy, in the hope of securing a spot on Marcello Lippi’s Italian national side that will travel to South Africa next year.

Having been told that he was not a major part of the Bavarian giants’ plans going forward into the future – and receiving less game time – president Uli Hoeness is allowing Toni to leave for free.

There was much conjecture and speculation as to where the World Cup winner would end up, with a host of teams across Europe wanting to sign the former Palermo and Fiorentina striker.

Toni will be officially confirmed as a Roma player when the January transfer window opens.

Toni will be teaming up with World Cup winning team-mate, and good friend, Francesco Totti, who allegedly rang Toni to see what his intentions were about coming to the Eternal City.
