Acccording to AS, Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola is said to be eyeing Valencia attacking midfielder David Silva as a replacement for Thierry Henry, who has a year left on his contract and is believed to be heading to the United States to play Major League Soccer after next summer’s World Cup in South Africa.

Valencia are pondering their options as the look to tackle a massive debt and may be forced to sell some of their best players to restore order to the club’s finances. Silva, like striker David Villa, has regularly been linked with a big money move away from the Mestalla and Los Che may find it difficult to resist the approaches of the champions next summer.

Guardiola is understood to be an admirer of David Silva and the Blaugrana may turn to the 23-year-old to bolster their attack.
