Arsenal Striker Nicklas Bendtner Injured For Three More Weeks
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Nicklas Bendtner is expected to be out for three more weeks. The Dane succumbed to a groin problem during the game against Tottenham Hotspur in October, and was initially expected to make a early December comeback. But it was later known that the 21-year-old would not make it before the turn of the year.
Presently, the former Monaco boss has admitted that the hit-man could be sidelined for a further three weeks.
“He had hernia surgery and should be back already, but he had a groin problem as well and the groin problem looks to last longer, so they say to me three weeks.” Wenger said, according to The Telegraph.
Due to the long term injury suffered by Robin van Persie coupled with the absence of the Denmark international, Wenger has been playing Andrey Arshavin as the lone man up front in recent weeks.
