Arsene Wenger: Fabregas Is Not Returning To Spain
Arsenal Football News – There has been reports lately linking Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas to return to his home land and join eitther Barcelona or Real Madrid. However, Arsene Wenger insisted that the Gunners’ captain was committed to the north London club.
“I see that you test my sense of humour in 2010, and am happy to reply to that with a big smile. I cannot do anything [about the speculation], all we can do is talk, and talk and talk. We have worked very hard with all of our players, and they all have a very long commitment, tied [to the club] up until 2015. We have a long-term plan to be a winning team, and Cesc Fabregas is part of that.” He said.
Wenger believes Arsenal are in a strong enough financial position to rebute any offer from the Spanish giants.
“The fee comes only in mind, here we have sport as priority No 1. We can keep thinking like that because we have a healthy management and are not in financial need. I have always fought for the club to be in a strong financial position because I feel any decision we make must have the footballing interest of the club first.” Wenger added.
