Bortolo Mutti Announced As New Atalanta Coach
Serie A Football News – Atalanta have confirmed Bortolo ‘Lino’ Mutti as their new coach, as caretaker boss Valter Bonacina heads back to his duties with the youth team, according to their official website.
“Atalanta communicates to have given the coaching role to Lino Mutti who will be unveiled to the press on Tuesday at 18:00CET.”
The appointment is Mutti’s 14th coaching job, and Atalanta’s third change of the season. His task will be to get them out of the relegation zone, where they currently sit three points from safety.
Mutti takes the reigns after Antonio Conte walked out on the club last week. The coach already has experience of working with the Orobici, having been at the helm in Serie B during the 1998-99 season, and was also a Nerazzurri player for three years in the early 1980s.
