The Serbian international came off against Siena – in his side’s 4-3 thrilling win over the Bianconeri – after injuring a muscle in his right leg.

Scans have confirmed that the 31-year-old has strained his soleus muscle, and will not be available for a fortnight.

Mourinho will hope to have his star midfielder before the city derby against fierce rivals AC Milan.
