Brazil Beats Ireland 2-0

A great performance by Brazilian striker Robinho was enough to ensure his teams 2-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland in a friendly match at the Emirates Stadium, London, Tuesday (2 / 3).

Robinho was a real treat for the Irish back line scoring one goal and helped created Brazil’s opening goal.

Ireland unexpectedly was able to match Brazil’s game. In the early minutes of the game captain Robbie Keane almost brought Ireland in front with a shot from a narrow angle. Unfortunately, Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar managed to block the shot.

A few minutes later, it was Brazil’s turn to have a golden opportunity when a long-distance from Kaka is still went above Shay Given.

Ireland wasted another chance in the 16th minute as striker Kevin Doyle got a header on target but Cesar did well to keep his clean-sheet.

Irish defender Keith Andrews made a fatal mistake in the 44th minute. He scored an own goal as he was trying to sweep a pass from Robinho. 1-0 to Brazil.

Brazil played even better in the second half. Michel Bastos nearly double Brazil’s lead in the 58 minutes. In the 66th minute, substitute Daniel Alves saw his shot wide of Given’s goal.

Two minutes later, Brazil was able to score a goal, but unfortunately Robinho was offside.

Brazil finally were able to double their lead in the 76th minute with a goal score by Robinho after a wonderful passing with Kaka and Grafite.

Brazil produced a number of opportunities but failed to score another goal.
