Juventus Approaches Antonio Conte Again

Juventus are regenerating plans to bring in former midfielder Antonio Conte as permanent coach when Alberto Zaccheroni leaves in the summer, according to reports in Italy.

Radio Erre 2 interviewed journalist Alvise Cagnazzo, who is close to the club, and he claims the Bianconeri have resparked talks with Conte.

“Look, I tell you for certain that Antonio Conte was contacted [by the club] once again for the Juventus bench,” Cagnazzo said.

“But the directors have some doubts over his temper. They are still looking at the Cesare Prandelli and Fabio Capello ideas.”

Conte was linked with Juventus last summer, but was beaten by Ciro Ferrara, who was later ousted. Conte went on to manage Atalanta, but he resigned following a string of poor results.
