Sulley Muntari Pleased to Rejoin Ghana

According to skysports.com, Inter striker Sulley Muntari says he’s pleased to have returned to the Ghana national team and says playing for his country was his childhood dream.

“It’s a pleasure and a real patriotic act to play for your country. To wear the Black Stars’ jersey is a childhood dream. I’m proud to be Ghanaian and love my team-mates. I would like to thank everyone for my return. Let’s do well for the people of Ghana and Africa in the World Cup.” Muntari said.

The controversial left-footer was expelled from the national team on disciplinary grounds and could not make it to the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola in January.

He apologised to his national coach after the biennial tournament and was recalled for an international friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina. He scored the only goal for Ghana in their 2-1 defeat on Tuesday.
