Michael Owen Could Sign New Manchester United Deal
The Manchester Evening News reports that Michael Owen could soon sign a new contract which should keep him at Manchester United for another year.
“I’m just looking to next season now, I’ve got another year left on my contract here and have the option of a third as well. I’ve had a great time at United and I am really looking forward to being back next season.” said Owen.
Meanwhile, Owen is now still recovering from his hamstring injury now that he has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
“I had the operation two weeks ago so I’m going to be on crutches for six weeks now, I’m not allowed to do anything on it for six weeks, so I am definitely out for the season.” He said.
Owen”s current deal expires at the conclusion of the 2010-11 season but the injury-prone forward is currently considering the possibility of a third season with the Red Devils.
