Tim Wiese Suffers mild Injury

Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen have received some disappointing news on the injury front only one day before the league game against relegation candidates Nuernberg.

According to a report in Bild, head coach Thomas Schaaf will have to make do without the services of first choice goalkeeper Tim Wiese when the Hanseaten enter the field on Saturday.

The German international recently picked up a calf injury and has been playing through the pain barrier ever since. However, Wiese has now decided to take some rest and will miss the game against Nuernberg.

The absence of Wiese comes at a very bad moment for Werder Bremen. Back up keeper Christian Vander isn’t fully match fit either, meaning that Schaaf will probably give the 20-year-old Sebastian Mielitz the nod on Saturday. – goal
