Carling Cup Draw: Chelsea Will Play Newcastle, While Rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Meets In Third Round

Meanwhile, Premier League champions Chelsea have been handed a home tie against newly-promoted Newcastle United.

Cup holders Manchester United face a tricky away fixture against Championship side Scunthorpe United.

There is also a repeat of last year’s semi-final between Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers.

The two teams managed to produce an enthralling 6-4 scoreline in the second leg at Villa Park.
