Juventus Sign Napoli Striker Fabio Quagliarella

Juventus have confirmed the signing of Napoli striker Fabio Quagliarella through an official statement released by the club.

The player underwent a medical in Turin on Friday at the club’s headquarters and put pen to paper on his new contract.

The former Sampdoria man will initially join the club on loan for a fee of €4.5 million and the Bianconeri will have the option to sign him permanently for €10.5m, paid over three years. Meanwhile, he is expected to earn a salary of €2m plus potential bonuses.

Quagliarella is essentially a replacement for Brazilian attacking midfielder Diego, who officially left the club for Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg after just one season, and will fit into coach Luigi Del Neri’s 4-4-2 alongside Amauri up front.

He scored 11 goals for the Partenopei last season and also found the back of the net for Italy at the 2010 World Cup with a superb chip in the 3-2 loss to Slovakia. adam scime – goal
