Antonio Cassano is Available for the Azzurri

Italian national team medical staff is confident that striker Antonio Cassano will play in the next two Euro 2012 qualification matches. However, midfielder Claudio Marchisio will still be absent in the next 10 days.

Previously, it was feared that the Sampdoria  star will miss the game against Estonia on Saturday (04/09/2010), and the Faroe Islands next week.

“Cassano experience little pain in the waist after a collision. But, the situation has improved since yesterday, and we will continue to monitor developments, “explained Enrico Castellacci head of the Italian medical staff, according to Channel4.

“Cassano is showing positive developments and I am optimistic he will recover. From what I know, this injury is not a big problem and not severe, ” Caslellacci continued.

“We will give training without any risk. When there is no problems, Cassano will go back to coach Cesare Prandelli, “he continued.

But, there is no good news for Juventus midfielder Marco Marchisio. Marchisio inured his left leg muscles and will be sidelined for 10 days.
