Bologna Appoints Alberto Malesani As Coach

Bologna has officially appointed Alberto Malesani as their new coach with a one year contract.

The Felsinei sacked Franco Colomba just one day before the 2010/2011 season began, while they were preparing to face Inter Milan.

Porcedda Sergio, owner of Bologna, claimed that he was disappointed with Colomba’s skepticism regarding the club’s future projects.

Malesani came back to Serie A last season, when he was in charge of Siena. But he failed to keep them in the Serie A, and left the club at the end of the season.

Malesani started to get fame in Italian football after winning the UEFA Cup with Parma.
