Milovan Rajevac: Asamoah Gyan will Succeed in the Premier League
Asamoah Gyan‘s presence in Sunderland raises its own optimism. Sunderland Coach Milovan Rajevac believes that the striker will succeed in the Premier League.
During the World Cup in South Africa, Gyan become one of the key players that brought Ghana into the quarter-finals before losing to Uruguay on penalties.
“He provedĀ to be a class striker, and it showed during the last World Cup,” said Rajevac to KickoffGhana.com.
The 24 players played at Stade Rennes and scored 13 goals last season. For Ghana, Gyan contributed with six goals in two different tournaments namely the African Nations Cup and the World Cup.
The quality he showed made Sunderland spend 13 million pounds, which is the most fantastic transfer rate for the club.
Gyan started his professional career with Ghana local club, Liberty Professionals. He then tried the Italian Serie A with Udinese in 2003. Five years in Italy, Asamoah Gyan continued his career at Stade Rennes.
