Fabio Capello Delighted That Wayne Rooney is Scoring Goals Again
England national team manager Fabio Capello is delighted with the success of Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney to score a goal to overcome hsi deadlock. Rooney broke into the opposing goal for the first time since the last 14 games against West Ham United in the English Premier League.
He scored from the penalty spot which made United lead 3-0. However, it was enough for Rooney to overcome his scoring problems.
“I continue to monitor him until the last game when he played against West Ham. He played very well. He has returned and I am happy because he scored,” Capello said.
“Rooney mad a lot of runs in the game. He was free to move anywhere. Rooney will be played,” he continued.
Rooney is one of the players besides Joe Hart, Steven Gerrard, Gareth Barry, Glen Johnson, Ashley Cole and Phil Jagielka who will be a starter when England face Bulgaria in Euro 2012 qualifier at Wembley, Friday (3 / 9).
Jagielka has recovered from his ankle injuries. He will play since the first minute with Matthew Upson or Michael Dawson.
“I know those who at center defense will play together for the first time. But I will not make it a problem. I hope they can focus. I also will ask [Ashley] Cole and [Glen] Johnson to help them,” said Capello.
The central defender position will be a critical point for England because of the absence of duo Rio Ferdinand and John Terry. Meanwhile, defender Jamie Carragher hascompletely retired from the national team. Capello ignores Ledley King because his condition is never fit.

Great post but I think Wayne Rooney really needs to step up his play a bit. Doesn’t look like he’s got that many goals in him since his return recently.
