Klaas-Jan Huntelaar Doesn’t Regret Leaving AC Milan
Changing jerseys from AC Milan to Schalke 04, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar said that he had no regrets.
“My stuff are still in Milan and my car is still parked at the airport in Milan,” said Huntelaar to De Telegraaf.
“I do not have to shake hands with everyone there because I feel no need to say farewell. I have no regrets, as well as I chose to join Milan. I want to look into the future.”
The new era Huntelaar wants was marked by a hat-trick for the Dutch national team during the Euro 2012 qualifiers to the San Marino goalkeeper. The Netherlands won 5-0 and Huntelaar is optimistic about the future of his career.
“We have what it needs to achieve this moment, but we must seek to achieve it. Gelsenkirchen was close to the Netherlands so I can be close to family and the national team,” he concluded.
Huntelaar joined Schalke with a transfer range of € 13 million.
