AS Roma announced that their main goalkeeper Julio Sergio must undergo a month-long period of recovery after receiving an ankle ligament damaged injury.

Sergio suffered the injury whenhe collided with Brescia’s Brazilian striker Eder. In the game the goalkeeper was forced to leave the pith in tears of pain. Roma lost the game 2-1 to  Brescia.

The absence of the goalkeeper would be big problem for coach Claudio Ranieri. In the span of four days, Giallorossi will play two important games.

Beginning by hosting Inter Milan at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday  in the Serie A. Then they will face Romanian club Cluj in the Champions League.
