Van Der Vaart Disappointed To Miss Game Against Inter Milan
Rafael Van Der Vaart stole the show during Tottenham Hotspur‘s 4-1 win against FC Twente in the Champions League. The Tottenham playmaker scored one goal, failed to execute a penalty kick and got a red card.
The last case will force him to be sidelined for Tottenham’s next match in the Champions League, where the team from London will pay a visit to Inter Milan in two weeks time.
Van der Vaart is disappointed because he will miss the game but does not doubt the ability of his colleagues to achieve a positive result at the Giuseppe Meazza.
“Of course it was difficult to take the red card decision,” said van der Vaart to Sky Sports.
“I was afraid we could not win the game. But in the end my friends played fantastic.”
“I scored a goal, failed to execute a penalty and got a red card. But when we play against Inter later, my colleagues will be able to win it for me,” he said.
