Spanish Primera Division – Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho claims that France legend Zinedine Zidane will join the Blancos’ coaching set-up in the very near future.

The former European and World Cup winner has expressed an interest to join Mourinho’s coaching staff and it looks as if Zidane’s wish is about to come true.

The Madrid coach has stated that a deal between the club and the Frenchman is on course to be completed sooner rather than later.

“This seems to be too big for me to talk about, it’s for the chairman to do,” Mourinho said, according to AFP.

“When we’ve made a decision, we will make it known. But I feel that [Zidane] is close to being linked with the professional team.

“[Zidane] is part of the heritage of football and of Real Madrid. He should, I believe, be tied to football, tied to Real Madrid and he should be happy.”
