Manchester United is planning to try to offer Palermo star, Javier Pastore, for €40 million.

According to Corrire dello Sport, United scout had come to Palermo, and will watch Pastore during his teams game against Napoli.

Pastore, with Daniele De Rossi, is being monitored by Sir Alex Ferguson as a possible substitute for Paul Scholes.

Scholes delayed a new contract signing, and apparently will resign at the end of the season.

Palermo president Zamparini Mauizio said that he is ready to release Pastore, if any club offers €70 million.

Chelsea and Real Madrid also want this player.
