Andy Carroll has not been able to score his first goal in a Liverpool uniform yet. Kenny Dalglish is not concerned with that because he believes that Carrol will be an important asset for ‘The Reds’, together with Luis Suarez.

Carroll became a starter in his debut for Liverpool in the Premier League against Sunderland. This is the second consecutive time he became a starter after his previous full time match against Braga in the Europa Legue.

“I think it is a good effort from him to play 90 minutes last Thursday and also 70 minutes here. He has not made a goal, but he’ll make it,”said Dalglish sure to Sky Sports.

Bought with a high price of 35 million pounds, Carroll is expected to rise. After disturbed by injury, he also starts behind Luis Suarez – also bought  in the winter transfer market – who already made a goal for the Reds.

Dalglish again expressed his confidence on the striker who was bought from Newcastle. Together with Suarez, Carroll is believed by the Liverpool manager to be the a main player in the future.

“You could see that he is a threat (to opponents), you can see he is a good asset for us. you can see from the way he and Luis combine a few times, there will be many things that can be expected.”

“We are pleased with the progress of the big guy, but I’m also sure that he is quite tired,” said Dalglish.
