Igor Budan gave Cesena the lead before Inter responded with two goals from Giampaolo Pazzini in the last minute. Leonardo praised the performance and morale of his players.

“It’s a tough game, Cesena provided a rigorous resistance and we played slow in the first half. But the players never gave up and when Pazzini entered the field, he was able to change the situation and made a remarkable winning goal,” he said after the game to Eurosport.

“This victory is difficult but a relief. We do not think about AC Milan, the most important thing is that we can achieve maximum results and keep the chances of reaching the scudetto. We are optimistic that we still have a chance though we must stay realistic.”

Inter are still behind five points from AC Milan who will meet Bologna this weekend. Besides in the league, Inter still survives in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia and have a great opportunity to enter the final after beating AS Roma in the first leg.
