Luca Toni Rejects Louis Van Gaal at Juventus
While stating his desire to still stay with Juventus next season, Luca Toni presented his views on two figures who had worked with him at Bayern Munich.
The figure of Franck Ribery is regarded as a decent recruitment for Juventus in the transfer market this summer. On the other hand, Toni was not too thrilled with Juventus’ plans to hire Louis van Gaal as coach.
“Playing for Juventus is like a dream come true,” he said to Tuttosport.
“For my age, money is no longer a problem, but passion. That’s why I do not feel burdened at Juve. I still have a year of contract and I hope to continue to appear until the club moves to a new stadium.”
“But if the board decides otherwise, no problem.”
“With the arrival of two or three new players, we can compete with AC Milan and Inter Milan. I think Ribery could change Juve. The same goes to Carlos Tevez. Van Gaal? For me he is not suited to Italian football.”
When trained by Van Gaal, Toni could feel the setback of his career when he was asked to train with the Bayern reserves team. In the end, Van Gaal was also the man who released Toni to AS Roma, early last year.
