Christoph Daum Leaves Eintracht Frankfurt

Christoph DaumAfter about two months handling the club, Christoph Daum resigned from his position as manager of Eintracht Frankfurt.

“Frankfurt must start its efforts to return to the Bundesliga with a new coach,” said Daum.

“There is no respect for me at all, despite the club and the team being a part of my heart,” he continued.

Frankfurt was relegated from the Bundesliga after losing 3-1 to Borussia Dortmund in the final game last Saturday.

Daum was  the most blamed of this setback. Though he did not have enough time to improve the performance of the club.

The former Bayer Leverkusen and FC Koeln manager joined Frankfurt in March 2011. Under Daum, Frankfurt still could not improve, and could only get two points out of seven matches.
