Fiorentina Monitoring AC Milan Striker Antonio Cassano
According to La Repubblica, AC Milan striker Antonio Cassano could be on his way out of Italian champions again at the end of the season as fellow Serie A side Fiorentina have shown an interest in signing the forward.
Fiorentina are looking to add some fresh blood to their squad in the summer transfer window after a disappointing 2010-11 campaign, and they see the 28-year-old as the perfect addition to their attack.
Cassano joined Milan from Sampdoria in the January transfer window and put in some encouraging performances for the San Siro side as they clinched the Scudetto.
However, the Italy international has been unable to become an undisputed starter during his short spell with the title-winners and could therefore be on his way out again come June.
Cassano’s contract with Milan runs until the summer of 2014, but they appear to be ready to cash in on the attacker if a good offer were to arrive. [goal]
