Kaka Wants to Stay at Real Madrid

Kaka TrainingReal Madrid playmaker Kaka has played down talk linking him with a possible move to England this summer.

The Brazil international has been linked with a move away from the Spanish capital having struggled to establish himself at the Bernabeu.

Rumours have suggested he could be tempted to join Chelsea where he could be reunited with former AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti, while big-spending Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in the 29-year-old.

Speculation intensified about a possible switch to Chelsea after it was revealed Kaka’s mother was moving to London to work as a preacher, but Kaka insists he will not be following her.

“I want to stay at Real Madrid and I want to play for Real Madrid,” said Kaka at the launch of the new adidas Predator boot in London.

“My mother is coming to live in London next year. She is a preacher and she is coming to talk about God.

“But I have a challenge with Real Madrid. I don’t want to think now about playing in the Premier League or going back to Italy.

“I want to get back in good shape and play for Real Madrid next season.

“I have a good relationship with Carlo but the truth is that I want to stay in Madrid, I want to play in Madrid and I want to live in Madrid.” [Pete O'Rourke/Skysports]
