Copa Libertadores 2011 had ended with the title going to Santos.

The Brazilian club won the championship title by beating Uruguayan club Penarol with a score of 2-1 at Pacaembu, Sao Paulo, Thursday (23/6).

With this result, Santos are ahead 2-1 in aggregate because in the first leg in Montevideo last week, the two teams match ended in a goalless draw.

The title becomes the third for Santos in the Latin America’s best tournament. The two first success was occurred in 1962 and 1963.

It is Neymar and Danilo who became heroes for Santos in the match victory.

Neymar opened the scoring for Santos on the 47th minute before Danilo doubled their lead in the 69th minute. Penarol could only scored once from an 80th minute own goal by Severino Dos Ramos Durval Da Silva.
